What we collect
Phone number for sign-in. Optional profile fields: name, date/time/place of birth, preferred language. Chat and call transcripts (so you can read them later in /chats). Wallet balance and payment receipts.
Why we collect it
Phone for account access. Birth details so astrologers can give a personal reading. Transcripts so you can revisit conversations. Payment info for billing and refunds. We don't sell any of this to third parties.
Who sees your data
Astrologers see your name, language and birth details when you start a session — same as walking into a Pandit's office. Our AI provider (DeepSeek) processes the text of your messages to draft astrologer replies but doesn't retain them long-term. Our voice provider (Sarvam AI) processes speech for transcription and TTS in the same way.
How long we keep it
Chat transcripts: as long as your account is active, so you can revisit them. Wallet history: minimum 7 years for tax compliance. You can request deletion of your account and we'll remove everything except records we're legally required to keep.
Your rights
You can see, export, correct or delete your data anytime. India's DPDP Act 2023 and GDPR principles apply — write to us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Phone and payment endpoints are encrypted in transit. Wallets are server-side; we don't store card numbers ourselves (the payment processor does). Report security issues to security@jyotish.app.
